Why you need a Newer Spreader ® Manure disposal has become one of the more difficult problems for small horse farms. There is always the question of where to put it. More often than not, it's put into piles for days, weeks and even longer. You can hire someone to haul it away, but that is expensive and not always reliable. You can spread it by hand, but that's a back breaking job. Invariably the pile just stays there creating odor and attracting flies, which are a nuisance and a health threat to your horses. Then you have the additional problem of fly control. It has been shown that flies will travel several hundred feet between your barn and the manure pile.The BEST remedy for all these problems is to disperse the manure immediately after stall cleaning and to do it in a way that does not attract flies. If the manure is broken up into small pieces and spread out on the pasture or lawn, it will decompose very quickly, especially on a hot, sunny day. Then it is no longer attractive to flies. Plus, you receive the added benefit of providing a fertilizer and soil conditioner for your pasture.

"Old time" manure spreaders do not break up the manure adequately and with their many moving parts, they can require a great deal of maintenance. This is too time consuming and laborious for today's small farm owner. Newer Spreader® offers a solution to ALL of these problems, without creating new ones. The patented grinding drum crumbles the manure into small pieces and spreads it evenly over the ground as it is pulled with a small garden tractor, four wheeler or golf cart. The Newer Spreader ® has few moving parts, and being made of aluminum, it has an extremely long life with virtually no maintenance.

No need to wheelbarrow the manure and spread it by hand anymore.

Clean your stalls directly into the Newer Spreader® , drive off to where you want to spread, kick in the engagement levers to start the grinding drum, and begin driving and spreading. It takes a matter of minutes, spreads approximately 200 - 300 feet with a depth of 1/4 to 1/2 inch. What could be easier?You can also begin spreading those old manure piles, too.

The Newer Spreader® is a new concept in equine manure disposal. It was developed as a low cost alternative to traditional manure spreaders. AND it will save you time with your daily chores!

Maintenance:

Maintenance consists of greasing axle bearings (zerk fittings for your grease gun, no disassembly required) every six months and that's it. The aluminum construction of the Newer Spreader ® and the solid rubber tires require no maintenance. What could be easier?

Optimum Results:

The Newer Spreader® works great for spreading straight manure, manure with bedding such as sawdust, shavings or pelleted bedding and composted manure and a small amount of uneaten hay mixed in with the bedding and manure. For optimum results, do not spread straw bedding or large amounts of hay.

How To Use:

Just fill the Newer Spreader® with fresh manure and bedding from the stall or from your compost pile or old manure pile and drive to where you want to spread the manure. There is an engagement lever, one on each wheel. Just give them BOTH a gentle kick to engage them. Now the drum will turn with the wheels as you drive. As the drum turns, the manure is passed out the bottom of the spreader, crumbled and dropped in a 3 foot wide path, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. The Newer Spreader ® can discharge the manure-bedding going forward or in reverse. In about 200 feet, it is emptied and you are finished! The crumbled manure will decompose very quickly.

When you are finished spreading, just kick the the engagement levers to disengage the drum. You can then store the Newer Spreader® almost anywhere. By standing it on its rear end it requires an area of about 3' by 4'.

It can be pulled and pushed by hand, now with its own handle, easier than a wheelbarrow, even when it's full. Being less than 4' wide, you can easily maneuver the Newer Spreader ® in and out of stall doorways.

Aluminum extruded drum works efficiently to crumble and disperse the manure/bedding.

RELIEF PANEL

The New Relief Panel is made of Stainless Steel and is spring-loaded.  This change will allow the Newer Spreader to pass rocks, sticks and frozen manure up to 1 1/2" in size without bending the panel.

AGITATOR
This optional add-on is placed on top of the drum to prevent bridging of the manure and/or bedding over the top of the drum. The agitator is helpful: If you bed with shavings on rubber mats and you must remove a lot of wet, soiled shavings.If you are picking up straight manure with no bedding and it's very wet.

The agitator is available for $45.00 plus shipping/ handling, and can be added to ANY Newer Spreader® , new or old.

Cost and Shipping:

The shipping rate for the Model 100 sales in Florida is $75, and for shipping out of state the rate is $85.

The Model 200 is a flat  shipping rate of $99.00 (continental United States only).

Also available for pick-up at our Sanford, FL location. (By appointment only).

We ship using UPS an unassembled Newer Spreader® . It is not difficult to finish assembling. The cost for shipping is $85 to anywhere in the continental United States. We can also ship either the Model 100 or Model 200 UPS mostly* assembled for a flat fee of $159.00. *All that is left to assemble are the tongue rails with the hitch and the wood trim at the top.

1 Year Warranty

Newer Spreader® warranties all parts of the Newer Spreader® to be free of manufacturer's defects for a period of one year from date of purchase. If any part should fail due to a manufacturer's defect during this period, simply return the defective part (at your shipping expense) to Newer Spreader ® and we will send you a new replacement part at our shipping expense.

Newer Spreader® will not replace any parts that fail due to abuse or improper use, for spreading any material other than manure and bedding, or for anything other than the use as a manure/bedding spreader. Caution should be used when backing that you do not jackknife the Newer Spreader® and bend the tongue rails.
